Ulm Eyes World Championships (from This Is Wiltshire)Published by
Athletics: Toby Ulm has his sights set on the World Junior Championships as he looks to bounce back from injury with a bang. The hurdler, from Stockwell Road in Devizes, is studying at Georgetown University in Washington and is preparing for the outdoor season. He hasn't been helped by a persistent foot injury but he believes he can make the IAAF World Junior Championships in Poland in July. "The world qualifying time is 51.5 seconds so that's well within my grasp in the next few weeks," said the former St John's School pupil. "I'm hoping to open up at a dash under 52 seconds and I'm going to open next weekend at the Colonial Relays at William and Mary University. "I was meant to run at a small meet in North Carolina but I asked for an extra week so I can work on hurdling and getting my foot healthy again." Read the full article at: www.thisiswiltshire.co.uk
